Words of Wisdom: The best Lessons We Can Get From Life

Words of Wisdom: to live a satisfied life is better than an ignorant life.

We can compare our lives to the mystery TV series; It’s a new episode of the unknown each day. We are constantly confronted with daily life struggles. These “struggles” will either guide us to our path or depending on our mindset, keep us stuck for a long time.

Just like in a TV series, people can never predict when hard times might come. Like fish in a net or birds in a trap, we are caught by sudden tragedy. That’s part of our lives.

How interesting would life be if you knew from affront how everything will play out? The only certain thing in life is that we will all die. The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone. Whether good or bad people.

What should we do then? How should we live our lives? What’s the point of living if we are going to die, anyway?

Here are 4 words of wisdom to help you develop the right mindset and achieve your goals.

words of wisdom: the best lessons we can get from life

1. Go Hard Or Go Home

They say, “it’s better to be a live dog than a dead lion.” Lions are the kings of the jungle because of their raw power and strength. But how can the lion’s true power be manifested if the lion is dead?

With other words, there’s hope only for the living. If you are alive and reading this post right now, you should take advantage of it and be happy. We cannot predict what will happen to us in the next hour. So, the best thing we can do is to enjoy every minute we have in our life.

To change your life and change the world, you have to stop dreaming and wake up. Stop wishing for the things you desire, instead act on the things that you want to achieve. Either you go hard, or you go home.

Whatever you do, do it well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge.

2. Everything is Decided By Chance

It’s not because someone is the fastest runner, means that he will always win the race. Or because someone is the strongest warrior, he will always win the battle.

Have you ever met skillful people, and they are not wealthy? Or educated people but they are not successful? It’s all decided by chance, by being at the right place at the right time.

The best way to be at the right place is by working hard to never settle in life. But to write a vision for your life and work on it accordingly. To achieve anything, you have to work to get it. There are so many people with great abilities, but still choose to live below the level of their true ability.

The right place at the right time is on the other side of your comfort zone. If you want to succeed in life, work to get there.

3. Pursuing Money is Like Chasing The Wind

To understand these words of wisdom, you have to watch the video of a donkey being baited with a carrot dangling from a string attached to a stick.

After watching that video, I understood that pursuing wealth is like chasing the wind. Because the donkey’s owner may be going where he wants to, but the donkey is chasing an illusion. Money is the carrot.

Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness?

Yes, money is very vital. People will stay at their jobs that they hate because the money gives them a sense of security. But if you take a moment and analyze how fast that money will go after you have it in your hands, you would reconsider your decision.

Therefore, stop settling for ignorance, and start searching for information and self-knowledge on how to make that money work for you instead of you chasing it.

4. Enjoy What You Have Rather Than Desiring What You Don’t Have

Just dreaming about nice things without working on getting them, will put you in a spot of unhappiness.

I remember two years ago I was so unhappy with my weight and used to constantly complain about it. I wasn’t satisfied with the way I looked. Also, the opinions of people did not help the case. Looking back two years later, I’m heavier than what I used to complain about. As I look at pictures of me two years ago, I tell myself, I should have just enjoyed my body and the process instead of complaining that I was fat.

If you are not willing to put work to your desires, then it’s better to enjoy what you have. Otherwise, you are creating a downward path for yourself. Enjoy the now in your life. Because there are no promises for later. So, live happily and enjoy life with all its mysteries.

Conclusion: Words of Wisdom

Life is full of uncertainties, but a wise person chooses the right road. To succeed in life, you must always be open to learn. Because an open mindset will make way to achieve great things.  Your potential to succeed is infinite. If you want to succeed, strike out on new paths. Don’t travel the worn paths of accepted success.

Be willing to go hard for the things you want to achieve. When you do this, you will find yourself at the right place and the right time to manifest your vision. Keep in mind that pursuing money is like chasing the wind, so pursue your calling instead. And most importantly enjoy what you have right now.

Ah… “just dreaming about nice things without working on getting them…” That hit me! 🙂 Great list, and valuable insights. And you’re so right – life is filled with uncertainty, especially in this odd time. What remains is our ability to keep working, walking, and even failing… forward. Thanks for the encouragement!

For the past few days, I have been really stressing out about my future and where it is going to go. Am I going to be able to help people change their lives for the better the way I want to? Will I ever be able to speak in front of millions of people? Will I ever get the chance to have an article published for people to read and learn from? I surely hope so. This post reminded me that I must live in the present and work hard for those things to come true. They CAN be done, but I shouldn’t stress about them because with hard work and perseverance, those dreams can come true. Thank you for reminding me to live in the moment.
